Cecil County is under attack from developers. After consuming the land, taxing the resources, jeopardizing the environment, and burdening the infrastructure of neighboring New Castle County and other nearby areas, the ugly history of suburban sprawl is poised to repeat itself in Cecil County. The only thing standing in the way of voracious developers is concerned citizens such as yourself.

Developers are on a mission to bring their "lifestyle" to Cecil County and it is nothing like the Cecil County you know and love today.

SaveCecil is a a web portal for Cecil County communities working together for smart growth and protection of the environment. The immediate fight is to ensure that the Master Water and Sewer plan is not amended upon request by developers seeking to boost their profits. Long-term vigilance is required to prevent developers from drastically reducing the quality of life in Cecil County.

SaveCecil is supported by an informal group of residents who live in Cecil County and who are deeply concerned about the County's future. We work together and actively participate in the public process to address planning and zoning issues in the spirit of keeping Cecil County livable. We strongly believe our property values will increase by preserving the character of our areas. We support the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan developed over several years of intensive work and adopted by our County Commissioners.

SaveCecil has no officers, no staff, and no membership dues. We are simply residents who are deeply concerned about density and over development and who believe that the ideal of smart growth is attainable. Join us as neighbors in our volunteer work.
